Dr. Lerman received his B.A. from Columbia University and his M.D. from NYU School of medicine. He then went on to general surgery and plastic surgery residency at the NYU Institute for Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. He completed an extra fellowship in microvascular reconstructive surgery at The University of Pennsylvania and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is Past President of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons and Director of the aesthetic and reconstructive breast fellowship at Lenox Hill and Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. He is Associate Professor of Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. Since 2001, he has authored over 40 original articles, abstracts and textbook chapters and routinely lectures at numerous national and international conferences.
